- Forbes: WWE Morale Is 'The Worst It's Ever Been,' And Vince Is Taking The Blame
https://www.forbes.com/sites/blakeoestriecher/2019/05/31/wwe-morale-is-the-worst-its-ever-been-and-vince-mcmahon-is-taking-the-blame
Long article, but it paints a bad picture of WWE backstage & of Vince McMahon, the atmosphere backstage is very toxic right now. Bullet-points: 1. "The most frustrated person in the back every single night is Triple H." 2. "Vince [McMahon] wants suggestions from everyone but it never gets on TV. 99 out of 100 times you can come up with an idea for Vince and it won’t be used." 3. "One writer is very close to quitting because he is so 'unbelievably unhappy' and many of the writers are paranoid and think they are close to being fired." 4. "It’s such a toxic atmosphere and it’s all because of one person." 5. "The money is good and it’s a dream job for many writers but it gets frustrating. The talent is very unhappy and people are trying to get out of their contracts." 6. "Shane McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have tried to talk to Vince but it hasn’t worked."

I hate it when someone posts a Forbes Contributor article and pretends someone from Forbes actually wrote it.
Contributor articles can be written by any schmo and don't have to verify sources. This guy just regurgitated Meltzer and Alvarez's trash. What a waste of 10.99
Opinions are just like asses.
Everyone has one, and most of them stink. |

There are disclaimers that the piece is an opinion piece and the opinion of the writer and not the opinion of Forbes. The usual stuff that exonerates Forbes itself from any real backlash.

lol at taking trash tier journalism like Forbes at face value.

Forbes is far from the only ones talking about how bad it is in WWE because of Vince right now. Just listen to the Moxley interview. The countless people wanting to leave and openly complaining on social media, etc, etc.

jo will use any source to make a topic to get attention. this article is just shitting out what they heard from meltzer. really there is no reason to doubt it, but we dont need a topic after every time someone rips off meltzer. this goof has no info, he has no sources, hes a parrot.

People arguing over the legitimacy of the articles when we've had several former writers and wrestlers already tell us all this. Vince is the gate keep for everything in wrestling. Writers write to keep Vince happy and wrestlers do as they're told or they'll be pulled off TV and sit out their contract and even have time added to it because they can. WWE isn't toxic. Vince is. They've never had a roster this talented yet they can't do anything with them cause Vince doesn't like what others like.

The countless people wanting to leave and openly complaining on social media, etc, etc. That's exactly it. All this article and wrestling journalists do is state the fucking obvious or regurgitate what is rumoured to rile us up all over again. Its intent isn't to whistleblow, it's just to get hits. Alas that's all news ever is now. It's a product, so needs to be manufactured then marketed. Meltzer for example probably doesn't even have sources any more, he simply is smarter than the average wrestling fan (this isn't saying much) and can figure things better and pass off what is common sense to the average human as breaking news to the average wrestling fan.
Argument winners: strawman, calm down, troll/hater, (you) clearly, LOL, don't care, I'm done, actually this is funny, not wasting my time, butthurt, keep trying

It's an insane time, because morale and quality of the weekly shows is the worst it's ever been, but their finances are in the best shape they've ever been. It's wild.
The shows are soooo bad, but with the fox deal and the Saudi deals, they've made so much money.

The article mentioned that the wildcard rule is a disaster that helps only the top of the card will make even more people want to leave...and I agree.

And it's more interesting when you hear the pieces from those said writers and wrestlers. This is just some random guy spitballing about what he thinks is going on backstage. That's not useful information to anybody.

Man, people took everything Ambrose said and twists it to fit their own stupid narrative against the WWE. Because it's so easy. Wrestling fans are so easy to manipulate, so long as you aim for their emotions that are directed against the WWE. Journalists gain hits, lawyers gain lawsuits. Manipulation. And they're all blind to it.
Ambrose really only spoke of the creative process and was miserable due to it. He also spoke about how everyone in the WWE had different feelings about their career there. Some did it for the money and are happy about it. He even said he's totally fine with someone doing it to better their lives in that way. Some actually like the scripted stuff. Everyone is different. I really liked Ambrose's take on the WWE. It was genuine and didn't come across as bitter or embellishing stories. It's the type of thing that gained me respect for the man, unlike previous podcasts I've heard before for others. You know who comes to mind. To you, as a wrestling fan, it's totally cool to not like WWE, but seriously, stop falling for this shit. Stop building a narrative or getting absorbed into another's. |
vince being terrible and ruining Raw/SD is the most super obvious thing ever
he's a senile old man who belongs in retirement, not ruining wrestling week after week after week after week tbqh

People arguing over the legitimacy of the articles when we've had several former writers and wrestlers already tell us all this. Yeah this is the thing I don't get. People get so distracted by the legitimacy of the source when we've heard this direct from the mouths of countless former wrestlers and writers. Like, there might be one or two things here that seem a little exaggerated, a few things that retread what we already know (a lot of articles do that anyway) but all bullshit aside, do you reallythink this article is incorrect and made multiple false statements? Do you really think Dave Meltzer is absolutely clueless and has no legitimate, relevant sources to inform what he reports?
