Years ago, I started this archive as a way to keep my thumb on the pulse about what other posters were saying about the world of professional wrestling. After following the industry closely over 15 years through thousands of hours of radio interviews and podcasts, something struck me. Not everybody can enjoy this. I immediately though of: the deaf fan.
Knowing how much I love the "behind the scenes" aspect of the business, I know there HAS to be others out there that share the same passion. However, they may be hearing impaired. They don't get to experience the joy of a Live Audio Wrestling segment, feel the pain of a Wrestling Observer obituary, or laugh out loud while receiving the gospel of Jim Cornette.
Besides cataloging this for the hearing impaired, I think it to be important to get this recorded history written into words. From there, others can pick up the torch and have it translated into other languages. The works can be collected and archived so that these interviews could be used as official sources for wikipedia entries. Things can be looked up in search engines, pulled from audio. We can collaborate the stories told over and over again on different dates, put them beside the accounts of others, and see how things stack up.
Yes, the possibilities are endless. However, so is the audio.
If you think you can assist with this project in any way, shape, or form: contact me. You can find the information on my blog here, click around: you'll find it. In the coming weeks I will be cleaning up a lot of old articles and topics and only keeping up the "best of the best" as this page seeks to permanently enter a state where we will only be posting radio and podcast transcriptions.
I will be starting with the Canadian classic, "Review-A-Wai" from the Live Audio Wrestling/Fight Network era before they went solo on patreon. That's about 300+ episodes right there. Should take me a damn near while!
After that, I would like to follow up with the best of Wrestling Observer; Perhaps the obituary episodes from some of the top stars. Lots of other programs, can't wait to get started.
Please help spread word of this project.
