He's a great commentator, yeah the pop culture references can be annoying but at least he shows genuine passion when he is announcing.

The 205 team should be good though. Honestly, the raw team with Coachman has set the bar so so low that it makes everyone else seem so much better.

205's team has really grown into a good ass table. Nigel's pretty great, Percy's turned out to be a good face commentator to go against Nigel and Vic's a nice play by play straight man.
Cole and Corey are pretty great together, but Coach is the fucking worst. I do love how much they sandbag him and shit all over him. God I miss Booker. I wouldn't call that a good announce team, but by god Cole, Corey and Book were fun. SmackDown's team is legit good too. Tom and Corey have always been a great pair and Byron's gotten so much better. He rolls right into the punches and sets Graves up. Unlike Coach, he isn't afraid to play the goof.

Eh not really a loss.
At least we won't hear crap like "Look at Dream and Ricochet flying like the heroes in Incredibles!" or "Lars is about as massive as a T-Rex straight out of Jurassic World!" His commentary was great at the start, especially during the CWC, but now I cringe every time I hear forced pop culture references. People hate Cole but give Ranallo a pass for some reason.

Corey is a color guy so bringing him back wouldn't work. JR or Tom Phillips would probably sub in although I'd like to see Cole do it. |

I liked him when he first debuted but honestly him screaming Mama Mia and such is annoying.
I did like the Thanos line and it made me think that Lars Sullivan should say that he is so badass that he could snap his fingers and end someone’s life.

The thing about Mauro is that, many people think passion correlates to good commentary and that's not always true. He does have a TON of passion, will never take that away from him. But his actually commentary content is...annoying honestly. He misses calls as much as Cole does, but with a bunch of bad pop culture references thrown in that he can't blame Vince for.
I'm fine with him missing Chicago (at least because it's not for a bad or serious reason) since we get to see Vic Joseph in a big time commentary chance. Let's see what he can bring to the table on a bigger stage.
Burn...let it all burn.
