The garbage ending for the rematch NXT is enough for me top take it off the 5-star list.
It's obvious that Meltzer is getting paid to big up certain wrestlers in the fan's eyes. Omega and Bucks being two obvious ones, but someone in TUE is as well. |

It really ramped up at the end, and by the end it was a great match. But nothing really epic happened that would push it from 4 stars to 5. In my opinion, anyway.

I can talk to you on that level, I used to go to a lot of Japanese shows in the 90s because my dad was in the army over there. I used to think his star ratings were pretty cool. Obviously I have my own opinions but I don't watch as much wrestling as Dave, and it was neat having one guy ranking matches from everywhere. With the recent 6-7 star matches it's gotten kinda silly. Idk how I feel anymore...it's hilarious seeing everyone's reactions at least

Bigpatrickpunchard is not a real NJPW fan. It's obvious that he probably started watching around 2012. He says that I "embarrassed" myself (which is impossible, by the way) because I watched the Inoki/Saito match from 1987 in its entirity when everybody knows that real fans stick with it on the good times and the bad. Like watching Tanahashi do jobs for Chyna. We fans endure it.
Also, he wishes he could get a job at an Apple store, or Radio Shack, or anything other than self proclaimed message board guru which pays nothing. He desperately wants to move out of his parents basement. |

The finish to the tag match was fine and actually quite awesome, the ref told him before not to come in the ring again after he broke up Roddy's submission. He was too honourable to risk a DQ so he did the right thing instead when he knew his partner was beaten but wouldn't give in.
