Once again, if he planned on staying, why hasn't he re-signed yet? He's very obviously leaving, not everyone is a mark corporate bootlicker who thinks working in WWE is the end all be all of pro wrestling.

why does he have to re-sign right now? his contract isn't fucking up tomorrow. CM Punk signed a new contract THE DAY AFTER his old one expired. there are no set dates to sign new contracts. You'd think if he was intent on leaving, WWE wouldn't have cleared him to wrestle. I doubt the plan is to let him wrestle for 4 months then let him go. That makes no sense. he isn't going anywhere.

My guess is that Bryan is playing it by ear as far as his medical testing and clearance by WWE goes, because he doesn't want to agree to a new contract, and then get pulled due to a medical issue and put back on the shelf by WWE and stuck with another lengthy contract. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if both sides are taking a "wait and see" approach, due to Bryan's health prospects, and will start having more serious discussions when his contract end date is a bit closer.
I think it'd be best for Bryan to either negotiate a deal that gives him an out if WWE no longer clears him to wrestle, or to try to get a Jericho-esque working relationship, where he can go away and do whatever he wants for a while (like wrestle elsewhere), but can come back for runs in WWE when both sides want to work together. |

I mean it makes sense for Bryan to negotiate as good a deal as possible if he is going to re-sign and dragging this thing down to the wire can only give him more bargaining power I think, not less.
Him not having re-signed yet doesn't surprise me. He's got to be cautious about putting his name to anything with how WWE did him before. I want him to do whatever he thinks is his best option but with that having been said, I hope he cuts ties with WWE. DizzyTechno posted... I think his refusal to sign a new contract likely stems from the fear once he signs with WWE, they'll find a way to unclear him at the slightest issue.. I doubt he hates WWE and all the money they are giving him and his wife.. people are forgetting he's not only getting paid by WWE, but he's getting paid for being on Total Diva's, so is his wife.. could he make more as an independent wrestler.. Maybe,, although it's doubtful with how big he's been in WWE.. and with all the outside WWE stuff he can also do..

I truly believe that for some working for WWE is a dream killer. Ok the money is great sure but the schedule sucks and you can be great and over as fuck but that means little in a lot of cases. I remember being a young man and getting all excited when guys I loved from elsewhere were coming to WWF/E only to be misused.
