I don't often agree with Dave Meltzer but he's right on this one, WWE has a gift of taking people who feel like huge deals (Shinsuke Nakamura, Ronda Rousey, Bobby Lashley, etc. etc.) and in a matter of weeks turning them into "just another wrestler." The only person WWE has managed to keep an aura about them is Brock Lesnar, probably because Heyman has more control over his angles than WWE does.

I feel like she’s at the same spot as she was after Mania. She’s around, but isn’t in matches, so she still seems like an attraction. When she gets involved with anyone (Steph, Mickie, etc), she destroys them.

Just because she is not in the title picture, does not make her less of a star, she has been put with vets like Nattie and Mickie for a reason and it's a good stepping stone for when she does become women's champ. If she won the belt so soon after Mania, a lot of you would be complaining that she is being shoved down our throats.

For one, Nakamura hasn't lost a spring in his step, and still maintains a good amount of hype currently, and two, it's not a bad idea for Ronda's career to pace itself and not rush right to the end. Not everyone, including someone as renowned as Ronda Rousey, has to win the world championship almost RIGHT as soon as they debut.

The only time I care how Meltzer feels is when I want to make fun of him. Ronda has the women closing Raw. Ronda is selling merchandise. Ronda is selling tickets and putting eyes on the product. She's getting huge babyface pops (unlike Roman). So it doesn't matter how Meltzer feels. I mean, there are still people who feel Cena isn't the biggest star in WWE. It doesn't really matter.

Wasn't that her thing the whole time about not wanting to be treated like a "special attraction" and to be treated like everybody else?
Did Meltzer say the same thing about Kurt Angle when he was feuding with people like Steve Blackman when he debuted?
