One time when DX was back together and Bischoff was there to promote his book, they ran across each other backstage and teased DX vs nWo.

Although I guess years later we got that when Sting fought HHH. >_> (even though Sting was the sworn enemy of the nWo, but whatevs)

Yeah, which then turned into a storyline where he beat his wife. But iirc it turned out she was lying. Not sure if that was dropped or not.

So which is worse, beating your wife or bangin your mother?

IIRC, Orton had filled in for Booker in a Best of 7 for the US title when Booker was hurt. A while later, Booker randomly interfered in one of Orton's big matches and no one was really sure why. People figured it was going to be related but I don't think they actually explained it.

Nexus helps Kane bury The Undertaker at Bragging Rights 2010. Taker returns months later to feud with Triple H at Wrestlemania 27. At first it also seemed like HHH was just going to ignore Sheamus putting him on the shelf for months until he randomly interrupted his promo and got pedigreed through the announce table for his efforts.

I'm not sure Kane vs Jand counts. While it was pretty clearly cut short before intended, it actually did have a conclusion (it ended with Kane beating up Jand, throwing him out the building, and taking the mask). Forgotten/ditched sorta implies an angle that was just completely dropped with no explanation or anything.

Orton was going to last a long time in the Royal Rumble but get eliminated. He'd use Booker T's favor to enter it again and then win. But they ditched this idea to have Rey Mysterio win the rumble by dedicating it to the memory of Eddie Guerrero.

The Booker T note was supposed to lead into a feud with Goldust but it was dropped because Goldust's contract expired and WWE chose not to renew it.

I would assume that John Laurinaitis was behind the Cell raising since he set up Triple H to lose his control over Raw and rehired The Miz and R-Truth after becoming General Manager.
