Even though the football competition was down, Raw fell five percent from the prior week last night, to the lowest rating the show has done since June 12th, during the NBA finals.

The episode did 2.77 million viewers, the sixth lowest watched show of 2017. The show was also down to 13th place in viewers among shows on cable yesterday. The drop was at least partially linked to everybody being down because Fox News and the other news stations had large audiences last night.

The other surprise is that the third hour did not drop anywhere near the level of last week, and actually beat last week's number even though the second hour was much lower.

While the third hour was down among women across the board, it was nowhere close to the kind of drop in the last two weeks. Among men 12-49, there was no drop from hour two to three, which is notable because the show ended with a long women's tag team match and a cruiserweight segment.

The Redskins vs. Chiefs NFL game did 11.94 million viewers, a 13 percent drop from the prior week. Dancing with the Stars, with John Cena and Nikki Bella appearing, did 9.06 million viewers, up four percent from the prior week.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 2.95 million viewers
9 p m. 2.76 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.62 million viewers

They seriously try to spin that RAW is doing horribly. From an actual TV ratings site:

As usual, “Monday Night Football” brought ESPN up to the top of the cable ratings this week, with its broadcast of the Washington vs Kansas City game scoring a 4.3 rating in adults 18-49. This was, however, less than the 5.3 that last week’s Cowboys vs Cardinals game had scored on the network. A late-night edition of “SportsCenter” followed closely behind once again, this time with a 1.1.

VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” rounded out the top 3 of the night, despite taking a minor hit and falling from its previous 1.1 to a 1.0. On USA, “WWE Monday Night Raw” held steady with a 1.0 peak rating for the fourth week in a row as well, in addition to two other 0.9s throughout the rest of its three-hour runtime. Meanwhile, Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” managed to maintain a 0.6.

RAW was number 4 for the night in all of cable. Where it usually is (in the top 5 somewhere)

That article (and site) usually only focuses on one demographic, not overall viewership. It isn't exactly a smooth comparison you are making to say you should shrug off the dirtsheet report and only go by the adult demographic report.

Anyway......between the first 3 months of the year and the last 3 months of the year, Raw typically loses 700,000 viewers....see if that happens this year or they finally bounce back from that election year last year....

Of course it does. But that demo matters more than anything in whether or not a show stays on the air. In that respect, RAW is absolutely fine and in no danger. They are making it seem like they are on the verge of cancellation when that could not be further from reality.

undoubtedly. but for the longest time those two examples were brought up in nearly every single wwe ratings topic as proof positive that the ratings issue wasnt a "cable tv problem" but a wwe problem. the next excuse up on the list will be "nfl ratings suck because of the national anthem bs" even though the start of the decline predates kaepernick kneeling
