Yes, to expand on your post: Oh look, it's Big Pat here to correct you on your unbelievably simplistic idea of how taxation apparently works. For example you think raising taxes for healthcare is a burden on the poorest of society when in most developed nations, the poorest of society don't even pay income tax because there's a minimum threshold before you start paying tax.

We also have classifications for illegal drugs. Our drug laws are pretty bad but not really out of place in western countries. And an American has no place to be lecturing other people on their country's drug laws. Marijuana legalisation may be one area where you're more progressive than the rest of the west but as long as the war on drugs is still a thing and you're locking people up in shitty private prisons for years just for possession, your laws are worse than ours.l |
