Lita has been in Paris taking part in a Q&A session on a number of topics such as the possibility of women's tag team titles in WWE: "There has been talks of tag titles for the Women’s Division and I think that I love that they first introduced the MITB briefcase, that’s been a long time coming and that adds an element of surprise within the title picture. I would love to see these rumored tag titles appear sooner than later, but for that to happen, I hope they bring up these women that are already at NXT or some women they’ve seen on the Mae Young Classic and expand the roster." |

It would be a terrible idea. What they need is better character development and feud/storyline development. More titles just create an excuse to be lazy.
I remember those recent Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss feuds for the title. It was literally Sasha getting a title shot, then getting a title match. And when Bayley got injured, they just did the same thing with Sasha. There was no real story there at all.

Bad, bad idea. They don't even have women tag titles in NXT.
Tag team wrestling is pretty bad atm in general. Having women do it is even worse as they've only been in cluster tag matches. There are no teams either. Iconic Duo is about it, every other woman is booked lone wolf.

WWE would just throw Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax together out of laziness. I adore Alexa Bliss but Nia Jax is fucking TERRIBLE.

I'm for the idea as right now it's the same 4-5 women over and over and others get lost in the shuffle. Like Alicia Fox + Paige would make a great team as they are besties anyway (according to total Divas) plus when the bella twins return it can boost that belt by giving them a hardyz style run.

Usos / New Day is cheesy? Wtf? Are we talking about wrestling like it is above being cheesy? Not to mention that cheesiness has been one of the best and most consistent things going on Smackdown Live and the whole of WWE for months now, and not just because of quality of competition. I'll take cheesy good over non-cheesy awful every day of the week.

this can only work if SD or Raw gets ALL the women in exchange for the other brand getting all the tag teams.
The division isn't big enough currently to house two sets of belts for both brands.

Eh... It could be feasible in the far future, but right now? I just don't see a point to it. Both divisions are relatively small, and all tag teams would end up feeling thrown together, because we only ever really see occasional alliances between the girls.
If they end up signing a majority of the MYC girls, I could maybe see it, but assuming they don't all move right onto the main roster, it would still take some time to develop them on NXT and build up the divisions on Raw and SD.

Both brand's main rosters are way too small to have both a world title and a tag team title. Hell, it'd be too small even if they ended the brand split.

Tag teams serve no purpose when there's zero character development and a very shallow roster. They need to call up some of the girls from NXT and the MYC just like Lita said and then spend time actually doing some character building for this to even had a chance at working. Giving somebody a belt doesn't suddenly mean people will start liking flat characters.

A women's tag division would have been a bad idea before the brand split, it'd be an absolutely abysmal idea now. They barely have enough women on each show for their singles titles, could you imagine throwing tag titles on top of that?
