- Im sorry dudes, but I REFUSE to accept The APA as a GREAT tag team!!!!!!!!
They weren't a great team match wise (though good in a more hardcore gimmick match), but they had an awesome gimmick which lead to some really good segments backstage.

I preferred them in 1999 before all the APA stuff but they were always over. I think it's crazy that we've never seen a team like them since, that is just raw power and aggression.

Man is like a piece of cheese...

You have to separate the characters from the actual people. Its why I can still watch Benoit matches, while hating the actual person.
As well as still liking Metallica, despite Lars Ulrich being a steaming pile of s***. I love the APA, and all of their segments, even when they were with the Ministry where they barely talked and yet I still dislike Bradshaw for being who he is. |

Eh, they weren't always over. When they were in the Ministry of Darkness they would come out to crickets when they came out as a tag team.

They definitely weren't always over. They weren't over until they needed beer money. That was late 99? Both men had been with the company for over 3 years at that point

I only remember them from their backstage segments. Plus, JBL has had a better career than Farwho.
You're not funny and nobody likes you.

Oh man god forbid someone have a problem with a website that let people steal others music, and what a cowardly dickhead he was for standing up for something he believed in when everyone else was to afraid of their popularity being ruined.
7/10 for me means it wasn't really bad or really good, but resting somewhere in the middle. -hulkhogan1

He now exists in the darkness of deletion. Brother Nero is only a vessel of flesh that is empty on the inside. I deleted everything that made him special.

Yeah what did Lars ever do lol 1 - He forced Napster out of business. I'm not saying Napster was a great company, it wasn't. But it caused a whole line of problems years later by that happening. 2 - He forced an entire album to have the bass guitar removed just because he wanted his drums to be the center of the entire album. 1988s album And Justice For All. He also had a hand in screwing up 3 other albums. 3 - He's a terrible drummer in general, barely able to keep the own beats of his own songs. 4 - He's a giant douche in general. |

Ivany2008 posted...pricelesslegacy posted...Yeah what did Lars ever do lol It wasn't just Lars that forced Napster out of existence but he did play a key role in it. There were other artists that were involved, but they were more willing to listen to reason. Not saying that those other programs wouldn't have shown up eventually, just not as quickly as they did. Actually, when I say Lars had a key role in that, I'm not making it up either. He actually hand delivered a list of 300,000 Napster users to Napster with intentions of getting their accounts banned. You'd have to be around during that time to understand how big that lawsuit was. It didn't just prevent people from listening to Metallicas music, but thousands of other artists who never would have gotten the time of day at a local store. Hell, I wouldn't have heard about Nightwish, or Within Temptation if it wasn't for programs like Napster and Limewire. Actually, plenty of bands spoke out against the suing of Napster because the amount of money that cd/record sales give artists is a fraction of a percentage. The majority of their money comes from touring and sponsorship deals. I checked it up online and its something like 22 dollars to the band for every 1000 cd sales back then? Which if you jack up the sales to over 3 million is the sum of about 60k split between the band. Its nothing in the grand scheme of things. As for the Jason bit, it wasn't Jason that was pissed off with Lars. It was the guy who mixed the album because according to him, The album prior to the "fix" that Lars asked for was incredible, and Lars just made Jasons entire bit seem to disappear so his drums could be heard more. Anyways, Not here to argue this point. Just have to agree to disagree. |
Lars isn't a great drummer. That said Metallica is still an awesome band with many classic songs and albums all of which are over 15 years old

I just feel like if Lars was so bad he would be bringing down metallica. Even if he's not the best drummer, he does his job. And him and James being the majority song writers just shows that he is a great song writer, which is more important than anything.

But as a song writer, he is fantastic. I love Nothing Else Matters. That being said..... it credits him as writing Whiskey in the Jar, when obviously its a very very old song, longer than he has ever lived.... unless he is a time lord, or an immortal. |
