Part of his appeal was his height but, before injuries caught up, also how he moved, his charisma, his hands, his head, etc. It wasn’t just his height. During Conan wasn’t he about as tall as Wilt?

With all the pics of Andre & Wilt, we can pretty safely assume that Andre was right around 7’ tall. Beyond that, we’re all just posting pics of these guys next to other people for our arguments. So it’s not exactly scientific what any of us are doing here. If I had to guess, I’d say that Hogan is around 6’6” - 6’7”. Maybe I’m right, maybe I’m wrong. I won’t know unless someone takes a tape measure to the guy.

He’s standing slight to the front. I’d say with sneakers he’s probably 6’6 and a quarter inch. Without it 6’5. Definitely not 6’4.

You’re not taking into account for the rock leaning back and who’s hunched and who’s not. Camera angles, position, footwear, and posture make a huge difference. There are pictures of the rock and Hogan next to Orton who we know for a fact is 6’4. And they’re all the same height. Hogan also wore big ass stilts when he faced Andre whose height was diminishing anyway.

If you Google how tall the rock is you get his billed height, the link below that lists him at 6'3" (190.5cm), which is believable. I'm too lazy to dig further but I'm sure you can find his listed stats for Miami when he played football.
Hogan being 6'3" - 6'4" and Andre (circa WM 3) being 6'7" - 6'9" seems right. In the 70s, before the fatigue really took a hold of his body and his joints in his legs started to compress and his spine started to twist he was 6'11" -7'1" unfortunately we'll never be 100% certain on an exact measurement
