And because Rusev started showing character and personality outside of his boring foreign heel gimmick, and fans were entertained by him. Heel or Face, wrestlers can tend to get over if they are funny or entertaining, and fans like that.  Personally, I've never been huge on Rusev. His in-ring style never clicked enough with me that I thought he was exciting. He's perfectly fine/good, just not an in-ring style that connected with me. But I started liking him because of his personality and his humor. Is that enough for him to get a monster push? Idk, but people clearly like to watch him, not just because "they're not supposed to". AsIfByMagic 3 days ago#20 Charlotte was never getting cheered as a heel. They don't have to change anything about him at all, just get behind him. If they cared even slightly about making the most out of his current reaction they'd be doing better than what they are. It basically stinks of what they did with Ryder where they just give the fans a crumb by putting him in a WM match, and now they're going to leave him to wither on the vine.  If you think pushing Jinder and Orton is in any way a better decision either creatively or financially than giving the guy who crowds are actually behind a go... whatever. reportquote
