2004:
- El Generico Vs Kevin Steen – PWG Free Admission (Just Kidding!) - Generico and Steen’s first match together, and I believe Generico’s first match in PWG.
2007:
2008:
2009:
- El Generico Vs Jigsaw Vs Kota Ibushi Vs Nick Jackson - CHIKARA King of Trios 2009 - One of the best fatal four ways in history, I really recommend people watch this match. The 'You Should Watch Wrestling' Podcast, review the match and talk break it down for new and casual fans. A link to the episode.
- El Generico & Kevin Steen Vs The Young Bucks - ROH Final Battle 2009 - This was one hell of a match, it seems whenever these 4 men came together for tag-team action they would put on an incredible showing. However after the match, Steen (who had been teaming with long-time friend El Generico for over 5 years) would turn his back on Generico by kicking him in the balls and attacking his former long-time tag team partner.
2010:
- El Generico Vs Kevin Steen – ROH Final Battle 2010 – 4 ¼* - One year since Steen brutally turned his back on Generico they would finally meet in the squared circle to settle their differences. A year of build up helped us get to this match, I wish I could find a link for this match so people could watch it. This was their first big match with each other, and it sure wouldn’t be their last one.
2011:
- El Generico vs. Kevin Steen - PWG Steen Wolf (Highlights only.)
- El Generico Vs Claudio Castagnoli - PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2011 (Can’t find link, but I remember watching this match and absolutely loving it.)
2012:
- El Generico vs. Kota Ibushi - DDT Max Bump 2012 - People will probably have seen this match because of the end sequence which has been called 'One of the Best of all time'. But this match is great, and it involves two fantastic wrestlers. It's matches like this that make me wish Ibushi signed a contract with WWE and was killing it with other great talents.
2013:
- El Generico & Kevin Steen Vs The Briscoes - PWG DDT4 2013 - Skip to 120.00. This was El Generico’s last match in PWG and he was placed into a tag team tournament where his partner would be his former tag partner Kevin Steen. The show is actually one of my favourite PWG show’s of all time, and it’s really nice to see the send-off for Generico after the match.
- Sami Zayn Vs Antonio Cesaro – NXT 21/08/2013 – 3 ½* - This 2 out of 3 falls match was heard all around the wrestling world, and quite frankly one of the reasons NXT picked up a lot of popularity really recommend you give it a watch.
2014:
- Sami Zayn Vs Cesaro – NXT Arrival – 4 ¼* - The match that helped popularise NXT was getting a rematch on the first NXT ‘Network Special’ and it really did showcase how good the wrestling on WWE’s developmental brand truly was. For those who didn’t know who Sami Zayn was, after this match with Cesaro he was a made star.
- Sami Zayn Vs Adrian Neville Vs Tyson Kidd Vs Tyler Breeze – NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4 Way – 4 ½* - This is the match that Meltzer called one of his favorite matches since the Punk/Cena classic from Money in the Bank 2011, so that should tell you as a guideline how good this match is.
- Sami Zayn Vs Adrian Neville – NXT TakeOver: R Evolution – 4 ¾* - The match that defines NXT and really show the endless opportunities that being an Independent Star can have once he’s signed to the WWE/NXT. Maybe I just favour this match because Sami Zayn is one of my favourite wrestlers, but I'm a sucker for guys who I watch in different companies make it to WWE/NXT and finally win the big one. This is one of the best NXT TakeOver matches since the inception of the Takeover’s. After the match, the debut of Kevin Owens would help ingite an almost 2 years feud between himself and Zayn when he turned against his ‘best friend’.
2015:
- Sami Zayn Vs Kevin Owens – NXT TakeOver: Rival – 3 ½* - Kevin Owen promised to the WWE Universe that no matter what ‘two months to the day he was going to become the NXT Champion’, and that’s what he did. He completely destroyed Sami Zayn with a series of powerbombs which lead to referee stoppage. I really wish Sami Zayn remained champion for a decent reign however it was relatively short, but it seemed like WWE had plans to call him up to the main roster. However, an injury would prevent that.
- Sami Zayn Vs John Cena – Raw 04/05/2015 - Not many people can make their WWE Debut against in their hometown, but not many people can make their WWE Debut against 'The Face That Runs The Place' - John Cena. This match was really fun, but unfortunately before the match started Zayn would injure his shoulder which would lead him to not being active for over 6 months.
2016:
- Sami Zayn Vs Samoa Joe – NXT 09/03/2016 - I really enjoyed this match, but for some reason (maybe cause it was almost a year ago) people seem to either to not remember it or just not like it. I thought it was a fantastic 2 out of 3 falls match, but I wont lie I see a very 50/50 feeling for this match, I’ve seen many people call this boring and slow, it’s all subjective.
- Sami Zayn Vs Shinsuke Nakamura – NXT TakeOver: Dallas – 4 ½* - Arguably my NXT match of the year, and frankly I know it’s a lot of people on this subs match of the year. The chemistry between these two on this night was fantastic, especially since it was Nakamuras debut match in NXT and Zayn’s final match in NXT – a true passing of the torch. Dave Meltzer may have rated this match a 4 ½ but to me this match is a perfect 5 stars. There’s a reason why 2016 has the most matches in it compared to other Zayn’s other years, and that’s because he was one of the best performers for the year scoring a solid 8 4-Star matches.*
- Sami Zayn Vs Zack Ryder Vs Dolph Ziggler Vs Kevin Owens Vs Sin Cara Vs Stardust Vs The Miz – Wrestlemania 32 – 4 ¼* - 7 of WWE’s top mid-card guys going at it, at the ‘biggest’ Wrestlemania of all time. A lot of people consider this one of the only good matches from this Wrestlemania. This match is really fun and allows all participants in the match to get their shots in. It’s great to see that Sami and Owens make their WWE debut and get some of the biggest ovations on the night. With Sami returning from injury it reignited the feud between him and Owens when Sami threw Owens out of the Rumble and also Sami coming to the aid of Neville against Owens.
- Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens Vs Cesaro & The Miz – Raw 16/05/2016 - As I said on the Owens Essential Match List, For the first time in WWE history both Owens and Zayn would team up with one-another per orders of Shane McMahon. I feel like this match was just a tease of what we will get from these two in the future.
- Sami Zayn Vs The Miz Vs Cesaro Vs Kevin Owens – Extreme Rules 2016 – 4 ½* - One of the best multi-man matches of 2016 so far this match put two feuds together and just let it be an all our brawl. Highly recommend everyone watches this match because at the end of the year when people discuss best matches this will be talked about a lot.
- Sami Zayn Vs Dean Ambrose Vs Alberto Del Rio Vs Cesaro Vs Chris Jericho Vs Kevin Owens – Money in the Bank 2016 - 4 ¼* - This is also a really good Money in the Bank match which I recommend people to watch. It helps continue the ongoing almost two-year feud between Owens and Zayn. Much like their Wrestlemania Ladder match, they include flashbacks of their feud back in ROH and PWG in Ladder Matches.
- Sami Zayn Vs Kevin Owens – Battleground 2016 – 4 ½* - A match that was nearly two years in the making (in WWE) finally comes to a close in possibly one of the best WWE matches for the year. The psychology and ring-awareness from the two really goes to show the connection that these two have with each other. This may be my favourite match between the two of all time, it’s definitely my favourite match between them in the WWE.
2017:
- Sami Zayn Vs Seth Rollins – Raw 23/01/2017 - This match is very recent, but it's a great match between these two. They use move-sets that you would see in NJPW and use it in a WWE form. This was a 'Winner is allowed in the Royal Rumble Match' and they exceeded my expectations for a Raw match.
