Breaking: John Cena and Daniel Bryan refusing to work Crown Jewel

WWE Crown Jewel could be in trouble.

I was just told Reigns is currently injured and that Cena and Bryan are "refusing" to work the show. Many on the current WWE roster have expressed concerned with going, as well, but obviously not all of them have the power like Cena/Bryan.

does cena realize that him not working has been a positive since 2006
Literally don’t see how this will matter at all.

Two guys, one who hasn’t appeared on anything since wrestlemania besides that Australia show

The other is injured usually anyway and was gone for 3 years

Bryan I could believe, he's not exactly someone who always toes the party line, but Cena's been so much of a company man for WWE over the years that I have my doubts about this.
Look at arson - I mean, how many of us can honestly say that at one time or another he hasn't set fire to some great public building? I know I have.

In terms of a locker room statement, Reigns refusing would’ve been the most impactful had he not been injured.

This is a bold stance for these two.

Well if he doesn’t work the show what do you think is going to happen? They gonna keep him the title hunt despite him not wanting to go to a country they have massive shows planned for?

I don't even think WWE can go through with this anyway, but we'll see

Good, WWE needs to stop replacing actual PPVs with glorified house shows. It's just a stunt for them to expand and make money at the expense of quality shows where stuff actually happens.

Wearing big boy pants means standing on principle instead of folding for money like a weak minded and pathetic fool.
The sins of men are washed clean in death apparently. Sickening.
This is great news. About fucking time some major stars speak up.
But if Cena and DB aren't enough for WWE to listen... then it's really bad.

Hmm, not really. IMO, you cannot have a bigger voice than John freakin' Cena, their biggest star of the last 15 years.
Reigns has only been WWE's biggest star for the last 5 years or so.
Tomorrow night on SD Bryan puts up his #1 contendership against The Miz and loses the same way Big Bossman lost to The Rock at SvS 98.
I think Michael Bivins was right, I haven't been cold-maxin' in a long time.

BIG mistake for Bryan. I understand it I do. But WWE finally let's him Wrestle again , give him a title shot and he refuses to go. If I was in charge he'd never be in main event again for years if he did that till he prooves himself.

If Bryan wasn't tied to a WWE contract, he'd wrestle in ROH and New Japan in a heartbeat.

WWE only cleared him because he was going to leave and wrestle elsewhere because they knew he was fine and they didn't want to miss the out on the money.

Good on them for not wanting to go, at least they aren't hypocritical campaigners like their employer. They will push that they want equality for women and then go and throw all that out the window the minute Saudi Arabia starts throwing cash at them.
This is mad if it's true, when it comes to politics Bryan pulling out makes sense but I could never foresee John Cena pulling out of a WWE show as he's been so loyal to the company for so long.

Weren't the people at Crown Jewel interested in the old timers anyway? Bring more of them in, problem solved.

in all seriousness though its going to be interesting to see how WWE rebounds from this.

They won't refuse. The money is too good, even if it's at the expense of a shitty country.

Except his contract was coming up and if he wanted to leave he could’ve left

And he re signed. He wanted to be in WWE the whole time and actually has faith in the WWE doctors
