That's always been in the plans, you know, him and Roman.. And. You know, I can't disagree with you because reality is.. I felt that it was.. I mean the reason they did it tonight was exploitive. He was tremendous. He was tremendous in his turn you know... I just wish it was next week or the week after. But that's the uh.. business. That's the bad part of the business right there. I mean uhh.. Look we're going to be talking you know.. It's.. It's.... great sympathy and I feel bad for every person who works in that company. RE: Dean Ambrose turn on 10/23 WOR
I never agree with Meltzer but he went in RAW and makes a good point this time. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔫 |
The show goes on. What a snowflake. They took a negative in losing Reigns, turned something positive out of it by my making his 2 best friends Mega Heel & Mega Babyface.
It was the perfect time, as no one expected it. IMO, one of the best 'betrayals' in wrestling history.

This whole mindset of ”oh they should've waited til next week" is really stupid. Emotions was at an all time high and you have to take that opportunitty to strike. It worked based on all the reactions in the audience.
I kinda feel for Dean though. It looked like it was really hard for him to go through with all that but he and Seth are both professionals. |

I was pretty stunned but after I digested it fully it makes sense. Not only did they completely mess with the crowd's emotions with that win, but Ambrose can even now say without Roman there's no point to the reunion since Seth had turned on him before anyways and he never liked him.
Still it was wild to see a heel turn in today's wwe that people had been begging for get booed.

Dean cracks, then second guesses it for a bit, before finally embracing it and going all in. Honestly, one of the best turns you'll ever see from an actual acting perspective on the part of the heel.

It's not that it was just that he was actually tearing up. It's hard to fake cry even for professional actors lol but his performance as a whole was definitely amazing. |

JessePinkman posted...GodofLaziness posted...show hidden quote(s) Depends on the actor, some can fake cry at the drop of a hat (ex. Will Smith). Anyway, impossible to know if it was impacted by the events earlier, but I would assume that it was part of the act due to how well it worked in portraying Dean's instability, though I guess it doesn't matter either way.

He made it seem like he had some instant regret after Dirty Deeds, the after a bit of thinking, just said “fuck it” and went full dark side. He did a really good job with that. I don’t think he as a person had any qualms with a heel turn. That part is a fake story.

Oh, I guess I'll just need to bold this so the idiots who believe this can see it.
MELTZER NEVER SAID THIS ON THE SHOW STOP BEING GULLIBLE AND WILLING TO BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT CLAIMS MELTZER SAYS SOMETHING!

The Bearer thing didn't really help the angle and, honestly, made it where Undertaker had to win. It hurt the intrigue of the match.
This is different because people knew Dean would turn on Seth. It was just a matter of when.

Honestly any other night would not have been a surprise. You can see heel turns from a mike away and this was expected, but not after a match dedicated to Roman and Dean doing his part in winning the tag team titles. At this point you think the show ends in them celebrating a victory but I was shocked that it wasn’t the case. I actually thought the Ambrose turn was not going to happen after all and if it did I expected the turn to happen after loosing the tag team championships by some miscommunication. You know, the typical stuff.

It 100% made the build more entertaining (which people forget is a goal in and of itself) and Punk more of a hateable villain. I don't think the match, which was really great, is that good without such a good build

It really made sense in the context for the match. Punk was going to be such a dick he'd make Taker lose his shit and get DQd
Though it made Punk look weak, he basically said "yeah I held the belt over a year but I certainly can't beat the undertaker"

Nah I think he was just ready to take any victory. It's classic heel stuff. He might be good enough to get it done on his own anyway, but he's also prepared to do anything to win. How can good possibly beat evil here?

Meltzer is such a fucking mark

If you posted the rest of the dialogue. They spoke about how it was such a sad day and they could have just sent everyone home with a happy ending for once. Wrestling doesn't always have to be about getting heat that WWE rarely pays off anyway. Sometimes having cool moments works too. But as they said but it wasn't typed. Vince lives in his own world and he gets annoyed when real life interferes with his world. That's why he has the obscene attitude of the show must go on. And you fans buy into that shit.
Not that this show shouldn't have happened. But it should have been a happier tone. There's a good chance Roman reigns can die and they just did a standard raw show after giving the fans such heavy emotion. Send them home happy. Who fucking cares if it's a good turn on paper? They're gonna 50/50 book him and the crowd won't give a shit in 2 weeks.

See, I think the opposite. They didn't do a "show must go on" thing, they turned him heel then because they knew no one in that arena was going to cheer Dean. If Roman didn't deliver that promo, Dean would still be face and probably wouldn't have turned on Seth until the Rumble or something. Plus with Roman understanding how wrestling works I wouldn't be surprised if he suggested it to Vince or at the very least agreed to let them do it. If you don't understand that it was the perfect time to turn Dean, you don't understand wrestling.
