Former Ring of Honor champion Adam Cole, 28, has signed with WWE for the NXT brand, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources.
Cole is slated to begin at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida this week.
Over the course of his career thus far, Cole has held the ROH championship three times as well as the promotion's TV title, the CZW Junior Heavyweight championship and the PWG championship, among other championships.
As I have written and said for months, if Cole wasn't with NXT by Takeover: Brooklyn, I would be shocked. It certainly appears he is well on his way to that debut.

To be fair he chose his own name. I think a fair amount of them do in NXT now. I think Kassius chose his own too.
I'm far from high end, I just know what suits me.

Kassius Ohno was Chris Heros own choice though. He wanted to change his name for WWE, and thought the initials K.O were a great way to go. Only after he left that Kevin Steen changed his name to Kevin Owens. And by that merit, they also have just as many good name changes. Kevin Owens, Bray Wyatt(who was once Husky Harris), and Tyler Black now known as Seth Rollins.

Tyler Black > Seth Rollins Steen > Owens (though I can go either way) Wyatt doesn't really count since he was a guy in their system already. Prince Devitt > Finn Balor by a country mile.
