I knew it was fishy.....it's not so routine if you have to be taken to the hospital for routine monitoring... Yeah, for sure. Going to the ICU is never really a routine visit. I'm hoping he pulls through. Also, the Smackdown womens title is between Naomi and Natalya, so Charlotte wasn't involved anyway. I'd expect a major face pop for her the next time she shows up on TV.

As the parent of an 11 month old with congenital heart disease, you would be surprised what doctors consider routine. My son's aoritic coarctation repair was considered routine surgery and we were in the NCVICU (neonatal cardiovascular intensive care unit) for 3 weeks. My wife posted on FB asking for prayers, I missed a month of work. Surgery is a huge deal to the patient and their family. It's still routine.

He walked out to the ring... told us that Seth Rollins was injured (knee)... and that Dean Ambrose flew out to replace Rollins on the card against Owens... He did look every bit his age in real life... very slow walking down the rampway... this was like a year ago Gutted if true... it's sad to see the legends go...

We actually have an appointment with his cardiologist on Thursday to find out for sure. We knew leaving the hospital last year that he was going to need a second surgery in a year to 18 months since he has 3 ventricular septal defects (VSDs), basically holes in the center of his heart, that they have been monitoring once a month. Two of them have closed on their own, the heart is a muscle and as it grows the holes can close up. So surgery number two might not be as intensive as we thought. They put a band over one of the valves going into his heart (sorry, but the name of that one escapes me at the moment) to push blood flow in the right direction, and it's possible we might just be in the hospital overnight as the surgery would be an incision just big enough to remove the band as he has grown into it and doesn't need it.
As for my son himself, they told us he would be behind developmentally but we were discharged from physical therapy and feeding therapy after a couple months. He had a feeding tube for a while because he was in the zero percentile for height and weight but he learned how to get it out around the time he hit the 20th percentile so they decided to just leave it out. He started walking about a week ago and he's in the 85th percentile now. You wouldn't know he's sick just looking at him, all that really remains as a visible reminder is the scar down the center of his chest. It seems unreal, if I had heart surgery last September I would probably still be in bed lol.
It was all terrifying at the time, and we aren't exactly calm about his upcoming surgery no matter how minor it could possibly end up being. Looking back though, it all went smoothly, exactly like they said it would. I hope the same for Ric, his family and loved ones. We obviously don't know much but this man was such a large part of my childhood and life that I want to believe his situation is similar.Steam/XBL/PSN/EU NNID - Nifterific | US NNID & Nintendo Account - n00bsaib0t

I feel bad for his friends and family too. If Ric truly is in bad shape then I just hope doesn't have to suffer anymore. Hopefully that means he survives whatever he is there for, for his families sake. I don't want to sound cold when I say this, but I would rather see someone pass than see them suffer. Dave Meltzer discussed Ric Flair’s health situation on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio. Here are a couple of notes:
* Flair was taken to the hospital on Saturday morning after complaining about severe pain.
* Flair was then placed into medically induced coma and underwent colon surgery due to a blockage.
* While Flair came out of the surgery, his condition still remains serious.
* Flair is currently on kidney dialysis.
* Most of Monday was a bad situation and “not looking good at all” but the fact that he’s alive and recovering is a good sign.
We will keep you updated if we receive more details regarding Flair’s health.R.I.P. GameFAQs Throwback ModeScorsese2002 posted...the fact that he’s alive and recovering is a good sign.
oh man phew when I heard he was alive and recovering I was really starting to worryRic Flair remains in critical condition as of last word in a hospital in Atlanta.
Flair underwent colon surgery yesterday to remove a blockage that was the catalyst for a number of different health issues that followed including kidney failure. Those in WWE were made aware that Flair is on kidney dialysis as well. A key is being able to get the kidneys back functioning.
The surgery was considered a success, but as noted there are more issues involved.
With fans and people within the pro wrestling industry sending well wishes for her father, Charlotte Flair posted a message thanking people for their support this morning.
She wrote on Instagram: "Hi guys, On behalf of my family and I, we want to THANK everyone for the prayers, texts, calls and support. Our Dad is a FIGHTER and your continued thoughts and prayers MEAN THE WORLD to us. We will update everyone when we have more information.

As we noted earlier today, there appears to be conflicting reports regarding Ric Flair’s surgery. While “Mean” Gene Okerlund mentioned on Facebook that Flair had had colon surgery, Ric Flair’s girlfriend Wendy Barlow is denying that Flair had colon surgery.
Wendy issued the following statement regarding Flair’s status:
“Just want to give an update to my friends and Family as I have been unable to talk on the phone without crying and just feel shocked over events….I took Ric to the Hospital Friday night with Severe Abdominal pain. From that moment on it all seems like a nightmare…multiple Organ problems. Not to go into too many details I want everyone to know he still needs Prayers as he is still in Critical Condition. And No he did not have Colon Surgery….It was another Surgery! I don’t know how the Media comes up with their stories. I have been by his side since Friday and will continue to make sure he is getting the best care possible. Thanks for all of the support and Love”R.I.P. GameFAQs Throwback Mode- Boards
