2008-2010 ECW was really good and people who hate it are the worst kind of people.
I completely respect your opinion, as long as you keep it to yourself.

Yeah, the last few years of ECW were pretty much prototype-NXT, and for a fair amount of time it was actually the best product WWE was producing, outdoing both Raw & Smackdown regularly. Christian was defending the ECW title against nearly everyone on the roster (& delivering outstanding matches each time), Tommy Dreamer's title run was fun (& he wound up becoming only the second man to actually defend in a Championship Scramble match [the only other one was Triple H), and it was awesome to see the early days of guys like Kofi Kingston, Sheamus (though he was only on the brand for barely a month), Evan Bourne, etc.

So far I've watched the first 13 episodes and it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

Heat was still decent in 2001. Though if you lived in the UK, it was a bugger to find as they kept shifting it around the schedule, the bastards.

It is ridiculous that they haven't even started uploaded Thunder.

Heat had its moments and I remember enjoying it well enough. It was near the end of its life where Heat was meh. I remember some quality matches here and there on Velocity as well (and lol at it having Stacy Keibler's horrible last match). I don't think I've ever caught an episode of WCW Thunder but notice many people want it up so maybe they're next. Is all of Superstars and all of Main Event on the network?

I think they were only locally in Florida, but they used to have episodes on YouTube.

The last televised FCW match was Ambrose vs Regal part 2. It's criminal that they haven't released that match yet.

Didn't even know any matches between them existed. After googling it, found them on youtube and dailymotion. I'll check them out later.

Kelly Kelly's Expose is enough reason to be excited about this. Still funny to think it was only 2 years from Kelly dancing topless in a thong to the PG era taking over.

Wait, if FCW was broadcast in Florida then was OVW broadcast in Ohio?

EDIT:
Wow, there's a lot of wrestling programs I didn't know existed or still aired in some countries until now

Just googled it and since it was based there, why the hell was it labeled with Ohio? Also, learned that WWE ditched OVW for FCW which then became NXT. Didn't know that until now.

Ohio Valley refers to the area around the Ohio River. Which is in KY

A valley is in reference to the area around a river. The Ohio River runs from Pittsburgh to Illinois, so that area is referred to as the Ohio Valley, not so much after the state but the river.

I do think OVW did run quite a few house shows around Cinci and the rest of southern Ohio, just never taped there.

Yeah, that was their "territory", the central Midwest. Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois etc.

WWE ECW actually had a lot of great moments and matches. It's a damn shame we never got to see the blow-off match between Benoit and Punk for the title.

WWE's version of ECW was nothing more than an exercise in shitting on the original ECW.

Especially when Vince won the belt. Heyman never pulled that stunt.

This. Ideally, I'd like all of Heat to be added, but if I could only pick one "era", I'd go with the 98-99 era of Heat, when it was the B-show.

I can't wait for Velocity to be added - that was an amazing show. That's one of the things I miss where they had random guys show up for matches. It's one of the drawbacks of having NXT now - you don't get to see random guys have tryouts on TV like that anymore.
DaGame007 23 hours ago#36
Oh and not to mention Velocity was on Saturday Nights. That's another thing I miss - wrestling on a Saturday or Saturday night. There was WCW Main Event, Saturday Night and World Wide. Then there was also WWF/E Confidential, Shotgun Saturday Night, Excess and Velocity. Man I miss those days.

Not that I can remember specifically, but especially while Christian was champion, the show was in such a great place. Good to great matches nearly every week. Christian is one of the best TV workers of all time, he always makes the most of the time he's given. Dude even got good matches out of Swagger and Ryder in this run.

Yeah, really. Hardly the greatest show of all time but it started strong and had its moments. I had a horrible cheap cable package back then and didn't even get TNT, so a lot of nostalgia for Thunder, it was the "biggest" show I could watch from WCW until we eventually upgraded towards the end.

Watching the first couple episodes when Heyman was booking I totally agree with why he left. He was building a decent show, and getting Punk over af. Then they shoehorn Lashley in like wtf?

Christian was so underrated. It's BS his awesome series with Orton was never really rewarded with another push. Those two killed it
